Five keys to finding time for Fitness!

It is my passion to coach busy moms to help them find time for fitness. I live to help moms find their worth, commit to their health and reach their fitness goals. I see time and again that it may start about weight loss or injury recovery, but in the end, the increased energy levels and inner happiness my mom clients find spills over into happier family dynamics and more satisfying relationships. It’s a beautiful thing.

Then Covid hit. What was I going to do?? My passion is keeping moms moving with their babies and kids around, and now the gyms are closed!

I had to do something. The day gyms closed down in March, I stayed up all night and created our Online Training Program. I did it as a placeholder for my clients to hold them over until the gyms reopened. Surprisingly, our Online Program became more than a placeholder. I was amazed; our members loved our online Bootcamp world! Our membership tripled in a matter of months!

Gym closures weren’t getting in the way of these mama’s fitness! By making fitness accessible online, I made it possible for more women to join our classes. Since we have classes up to 4 times a day, I am seeing my clients who worked out once or twice a week at the gym, work out 5 or 6 times a week online!

It’s amazing. Inspiring. Contagious.

Having the opportunity to work with hundreds of moms over the years and perfect the online training experience, I see what helps people stay motivated and what helps them succeed in their fitness goals. I want to share with you the five keys for finding time for exercise when you are a busy mom:

  1. Prioritize You

Your life is so busy, and your family’s needs are your priority. That means that your family needs you! We have to keep you strong and feeling your best! A healthier you will be a happier, better mom for them.! Let’s be sure to put you on the priority list and make time for your fitness!

  1. Get Support

You may like fitness time to be solo time, so ask your partner to take care of the kids while you work out. On the other hand, you may not be motivated to do it alone. Ask your partner to do it with you. Better yet, make it a family affair and do it together. Modeling fitness as part of life for your kids is a gift to them.

  1. Set Realistic Goals

It’s not all or nothing. It doesn’t have to be every day. What can you fit into your schedule? Twice a week is a good start! Once you get started and begin to feel more energetic, more time for fitness will present itself!

  1. Commit

Just decide to choose you. Put your workouts in your schedule just as you would a work meeting or a doctor’s appointment. Just as you brush your teeth, eat and sleep, commit yourself that fitness is part of your self-care! Throw out the Mom Guilt. It’s not serving anyone. You can make more money, the kids know you love them. Investing in you is investing in your family. Taking care of you means a stronger, happier, more energize mom for them.

  1. Be Flexible

We have an idea of what we expect our gym experience to be. We like the gym, we like our classes, we like getting out of the house, we like the equipment. But when we can’t access those amenities, we need to be able to pivot. Our health is too important to be motivated by external forces. Online fitness is not a concession; it is an all-access portal to more time for fitness. No commute to the gym, no digging out your car from the snow, no looking for childcare.

Be brave and try something new! Our team of personal trainers and friendly members is here to support you and cheer for you every step of the way.
